Greetings, Warlords!

The Tournament is in excellent shape!

Round A continues to go very well. After a month of play,
all 36 games are on at least Turn 3, with the average being Turn 5 or 6;
a few games have even made it into the early stages of Turn 7.
98% of the players who signed up for Round A started their games,
and 97% of the players who started Round A remain active.
(We've lost just 4 players to personal problems, and they've all
been replaced following the Lost Player rules.) This is going even
better than we hoped! I know not all of you are winning, but I hope
everyone's having plenty of fun!

Meanwhile, the Practice Round is nearly complete, and the results
are now accumulating at Headquarters. Out of 44 games, we now have
the official results for 31. Of the other 13 games, 3 are in the
process of determining the final results, 5 are on Turn 10 and nearly
finished, and the remaining 5 are all going to be completed soon too.
As soon as all the games are finished the "sample rankings" will be
computed and posted on the Web, so you can all see how the tournament
ranking system works in practice. (The results are *not* official, so
they won't count towards any prizes.)

One reminder: since nearly half of our players live in the U.S.,
we have made the American Thanksgiving weekend an official tournament
holiday. From Thursday, November 27, through the end of Sunday, November 30,
time limits will not be officially enforced. If you use up a timeout
or a vacation day during that period, it will be officially restored by
the moderator after the holiday period ends. (This was explained in
the Scenario ReadMe and in the official announcements sent at the start
of Round A a month ago.)
