COMPLETE LISTING OF NON-HERO BONUSES IN THE TOURNAMENT ARMY SET: "LEADER" UNITS: Minotaur: +2 stack in city Unicorn: +2 stack in forest Giant: +2 stack in hills Heavy Cav.: +2 stack in open Pegasi: +2 stack in city ALLY UNITS: Elemental: +1 special (+1 stack in all terrain) Ghost: +1 special (+1 stack in all terrain) Worm: +2 special (+2 stack in all terrain) Wizard: +2 special (+2 stack in all terrain) Demon: +1 special (+1 stack in all terrain) Dragon: +1 special (+1 stack in all terrain) Devil: +1 special (+1 stack in all terrain) Archon: +1 special (+1 stack in all terrain) QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: >Is the elephant a non-hero bonus? Does a (demon, dragon) cancel an elephant? No. The elephant has an Enemy Subtract Modifier, which is not cancelled. >Is the archer a non-hero bonus? Does a (demon, dragon) cancel an archer? No. The archer has a Fortified Bonus, which is not cancelled. >Does a (demon, dragon) cancel an enemy's (city, tower) bonus? No. City Bonuses are only cancelled by units with a Cancel City attribute (catapults). >I had assumed that allies were considered non-hero's - are you saying all armies >except the hero are considered non-heros? No, only the ones with "stack" or "special" bonuses. (Alternatively, yes, any unit that isn't a hero is a non-hero, but the only *bonuses* that are "non-hero bonuses" are stack and special bonuses.) >I think that anything that gives a "stack" bonus (eg giants, unicorns,Hv Calv.) >gets canceled with the non-hero. Right, if you mean when it says "+2 stack ... " in the View Stack screen. (Below is an example:) >I have 2 questions, first question I know a dragon has a cancel non-hero >bonus, is the warbot correct and a Hv Cav is a non hero ? Yes, +2 stack in plains is a "non-hero" stack bonus. >Question 2 (dragon, heavy cav, pikeman in the open): >How come the strengths of the defenders are 9 (not 10) for the dragon, >8 (not 9) for the hvy cav and 8 (not 9) for the pikeman, it looks like >they are getting the +2 open bonus but not the +1 bonus from the >dragon. Right. Only the highest non-hero stack bonus is used. >The only thing I can think of is yes a Hvy cav is a non-hero, and the warbot >is only taking the highest bonus for the defense. Exactly! ******************************** >Couple of bonus questions: Why when my worm & Devil are stacked, both >blessed 8 strength, does [the Warlords View Stack command] show 10 rather >than 11 in parentheses, when the worm is +2 special and devil is +1?? Becuase the non-hero bonus is only taken from the unit with the highest bonus. In this case, the Worm's +2 is higher than the devil's +1 so you only get the worn's +2. >Also, does the cancel non-hero negate Minotaurs? Yes, it will negate the city non-hero bonus of the Minotaurs. >If each side has demon in stack, do terrain-based stack bonuses stand or >fall ie. Minotaur or Unicorn? If one side has a demon in the stack, the other side's non-hero bonus is negated. This includes the ones from Minotaur and Unicorns. Please note that this does not negate the "attributes" (negate hero/non-hero/city) of the enemy units nor does it negate the "fortify" bonus or "minus enemy bonus".
